Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I get food?
To receive food, you must first go to Macomber Ball Park, 1103 Lexington Ave, Rincon GA 31326, where you will register.
Every few minutes, cars are released from the park to drive to the Manna House Food Pantry, 1210 Patriot Drive, Rincon, GA
After registering, you must check in and line up at Macomber Ball Park each Wednesday for food. After your initial visit to Manna House, you are issued a Manna House Card that identifies you and allows you to receive food on your subsequent visits.
Can I get food for a relative, a friend in need, or a shut-in?
Yes, it will require the same information for them as we needed for you. We can send the paperwork with you to give to the person to complete. They will have to list you as a Proxy in the space provided on the paperwork. Once the completed paperwork is received, we can issue them a card which you can show when picking up food for them.
Why do I have to go to Macomber Ball Park each Wednesday?
By registering, Manna House can keep track of the amount of food we give away each week, which helps us prepare from week to week.
We also must control the traffic at Manna House so we don’t disturb surrounding businesses. This is why we release a certain number of cars at a time.
What foods are distributed?
Manna House strives to provide food from all the food groups every week: fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy. The foods we distribute vary, depending on what is available through individual donations and our suppliers.
After leaving Macomber Park, what do I do when I get to Manna House?
Please stay in your vehicle when you arrive at Manna House. A volunteer will take the information you received at Macomber Park, check you in, and send you forward in the line. Follow the volunteer instructions, and “pop your trunk”. You will be directed to a specific zone where the volunteers will load your car. There must be room in your trunk for the food, if not, you will be asked to pull off to the side where you will load the food into your car. Volunteers are not permitted to load food anywhere but your trunk, or the bed of your truck. Once loaded you will continue on the driveway and make a left onto Patriot Drive and you are on your way.
